Greenpeace ≠ Peace
Greenpeace,
not as good as it seems
It is an environmental, pacifist and politically
independent organization that was founded in Canada in 1971 by a group of
activists. They say they are not looking for money, only the good for our
environment, but... Is
it true?
What is the Greenpeace “goal”?
It is dedicated to protecting the environment, promoting peace and helping people change attitudes that put nature at risk.
What has Greenpeace
done?
Good
- In
1972, he managed to get the United States to abandon nuclear tests on the Alaskan
islands.
- In
1978, he managed to defend the gray seals of the Orkney Islands (Scotland) from
several hunters.
- In
2016, he managed to cancel the whaling hunt that would take place in the
Icelandic summer.
- Etc.
Bad
- In
2015, he made an activist poster on the Nazca lines, seriously damaging the
environment.
-
They misinform about chemicals and some genetically modified foods such as
chlorine and golden rice.
-
When a person rejects their offers to volunteer, most employees explode and do
not reason.
- Etc.
In my opinion
Although they will have done good things in the past, it is time to open our eyes, we are not in the past. They have stopped seeking peace and only carry out actions that seem right to them without taking into account the scientific bases or the risk that it would entail for human evolution. Let's not judge a book by its cover, let's see its content and know the truth.
